TickerOps Privacy Policy
This policy explains how TickerOps and the TickerOps Connector handle data for desktop ticker routing and supported scanner workflows.
June 21, 2026
TickerOps is workflow software for routing user-selected stock ticker symbols into configured chart targets. TickerOps does not provide investment advice, trading recommendations, order placement, brokerage services, or financial account management.
The TickerOps Connector Chrome extension supports this workflow by detecting user-selected ticker symbols and supported scanner rows, then sending that ticker context to the local TickerOps desktop app running on the same computer.
TickerOps Connector
The TickerOps Connector is designed for one purpose: connecting supported stock scanners and approved stock-related websites to the local TickerOps desktop app for ticker routing.
The extension reads visible page text around supported scanner rows and user-clicked ticker elements so it can identify a selected stock symbol. It listens for user clicks only to determine whether a clicked page element contains a ticker symbol that should be routed.
The extension does not place trades, access brokerage account balances, collect passwords, collect payment card details, or provide trading recommendations.
What the Connector may process
- Visible website text around user-clicked ticker symbols.
- Visible supported scanner row text, including ticker symbols and row context.
- Basic page context needed to identify supported scanner or stock website clicks.
- Local app connection status between Chrome and the TickerOps desktop app.
This information is used to identify the selected ticker and route it to the local TickerOps desktop app. The extension does not use this data for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or unrelated analytics.
Data is sent to the local desktop app
The Connector communicates with the TickerOps desktop app through http://127.0.0.1:17654, which is a local address on the user's own computer.
The extension does not download or execute remotely hosted code. All extension code is packaged with the extension. Communication with the local desktop app is used only to pass selected ticker information and supported scanner context into TickerOps.
User control and data protection
Users control whether the TickerOps desktop app is running, whether routing is armed, and which signal sources are enabled. The Connector is useful only when Chrome is open, the extension is installed and enabled, and the local TickerOps desktop app is available.
Users can disable or remove the Chrome extension at any time through Chrome's Extensions page.
