TickerOps Setup Guide

A straight path from download to first routed ticker: install, activate, confirm OCR, calibrate brokers, choose monitors, and arm routing. TickerOps routes user-selected symbols only and does not provide trading advice.

What Good Setup Looks Like

Use these reference panels while setting up. The green callouts show the parts testers should click, confirm, or leave extra room around.

Step 01

Install

  1. Download the current beta package.
  2. Extract the zip file to a normal local folder.
  3. Right-click TickerOps.exe.
  4. Choose Run as administrator.
  5. Approve the Windows permission prompt.

TickerOps opens stopped. Nothing routes until your license is active and routing is armed.

Step 02

Activate

  1. Open the Help tab.
  2. Paste your beta license key.
  3. Click Activate.
  4. Confirm the license card shows active.

Saved keys are masked after activation, so users can switch keys without exposing the full license key.

Step 03

OCR Check

TickerOps checks OCR requirements at startup. OCR powers scanner, static click, and chat reading.

  1. If OCR is missing, open Help.
  2. Find OCR Engine.
  3. Click Install OCR.
  4. Restart TickerOps after installing.
  5. Click Recheck OCR.
Step 04

Smart Scanner Connector

The TickerOps Connector helps supported scanner websites read faster and more accurately than OCR.

Stable scanner support is available for Day Trading Strategies. Stock Trading Playground scanner support is currently under beta testing.

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Go to chrome://extensions.
  3. Turn on Developer mode in the top right.
  4. Click Load unpacked.
  5. Select the browser_extension folder inside your TickerOps beta folder.
  6. Open the scanner website in Chrome.
  7. Open TickerOps, then open Diagnostics.
  8. Smart Scanner should show the connector is active.

If it does not show active, make sure the scanner page is open in Chrome, the extension is enabled, and then refresh the scanner page.

If the connector is inactive, TickerOps falls back to OCR. OCR still works, but the connector is the preferred path for supported scanner pages.

The connector only talks to TickerOps on your own computer through 127.0.0.1. It is not a broker login, trading login, or cloud sync.

Step 05

Broker Setup

Open Thinkorswim, Webull, Robinhood, or any supported broker combination before arming routing.

Thinkorswim

Open the chart or ticker field you want TickerOps to control. Keep the target window visible.

Webull

Open the chart tab you want to control, then use Routes to save up to six chart locations.

Robinhood

Open Robinhood Legend on the chart workspace you want to control, then use Routes to set the Robinhood chart target.

When clicking inside one broker, TickerOps should route to the other enabled broker targets instead of changing the broker you clicked. Always verify the destination chart and symbol before acting.

Step 06

Monitor Setup

  1. Open the Monitors tab.
  2. Click Refresh.
  3. Disable any monitor TickerOps should ignore.
  4. Click Identify to show monitor numbers on screen.

Disabled monitors are ignored for scanner, static, and chat reading.

Step 07

Capture Zones

TOP 20 GAINERS TODAY
BESS$3.9930.97%
CMND$3.6726.01%
DEVS$0.5724.33%
MASK$4.2216.90%
Leave room above header Extend past columns Leave room below last row Start before ticker text
  1. Open Capture Zones.
  2. Click Create Region.
  3. Draw around the scanner or chat list with padding on every side.
  4. Name the region clearly, such as Top 20 Gainers.
  5. Save the region.

Do not make the box tight. Extend the capture region before the ticker column, past the last visible column, above the header, and below the final row.

Moving scanner and chat zones are handled differently from static pages, so capture zones matter.

Step 08

Arm Routing

  1. Open Ops.
  2. Turn on Scanner, Static, and/or Chat.
  3. Open Routes and confirm your broker targets.
  4. Click Arm Routing.

When running, the button should show Refresh. Click Kill Routing to stop helper services.

Step 09

Quick Test

  1. Open the broker chart targets you enabled, such as Thinkorswim, Webull, or Robinhood.
  2. Arm routing.
  3. Click a ticker in a scanner region.
  4. Confirm the enabled broker chart changes.
  5. Click a ticker on a website or broker page with Static enabled.
  6. Confirm only the correct opposite broker changes when clicking inside a broker.

After this quick test passes, run the full Beta Test Checklist so support reports include the right details if anything misses.
